GSYB's forward-thinking and innovative approach have propelled the popularity of Yog, positioning it as a powerful tool for promoting holistic health and wellness.

EVENTS
The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, first introduced the idea of the International Day of Yog in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 27, 2014. Addressing the august assembly, he stated:
"Yog is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us deal with climate change. Let us work towards adopting an International Day of Yog."
The United Nations announced June 21 as the International Day of Yog. Since then, Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has been relentlessly pursuing the popularisation of Yog, and mainstreaming it into the everyday life of millions of Indians.
Yog for Holistic Health

Yog is an ancient practice that has been around for thousands of years. It originated in India and has since spread across the world. Yog has been accepted as a popular form of exercise for the physical and mental health of people of all ages. At its core, Yog is a holistic approach to physical and mental health. It combines various physical postures, known as asanas, with breathing techniques and meditation to help practitioners achieve a sense of balance and well-being.

Yog & Physical Well-being

Studies have shown that Yog can reduce stress, improve sleep, boost immunity, and increase overall well-being. Various yog postures, or asanas, stimulate the organs and increase blood flow, which can help prevent chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis.
