The Practice of Yog, an ancient tradition and an integral part of Indian culture, is associated with the development of a healthy body and a healthy mind. The whole world is now benefiting from its immense advantages, and credit deserves to be given to our Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, who has been a staunch advocate of Yog.
In his address to the United Nations Assembly in 2014, he drew the world's attention to Yog, leading to its recognition on a global platform. As a result, the entire world now celebrates June 21 every year as the International Day of Yog.
Acting on his call to popularize Yog, many Yog Federations have organized numerous Yog Weeks across villages and cities in various states, witnessing enthusiastic participation by people of all ages.
Taking a step further, the Government of Gujarat aims to fortify future generations as part of its commitment to the betterment of society. It seeks to help children achieve their goals in academics, sports, and life in general through Yog. And with this vision, the Gujarat State Yog Board is organizing, for the very first time, Summer Yog Camp, from May 21 to 30, 2023, which is specifically designed for children aged between 9 and 15.
