The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendrabhai Modiji suggested declaring 21st June as 'International Yoga Day' to spread the gift of Indian culture 'Yoga' all over the world. Gujarat's honor for fulfilling that resolution. Under the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani and Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel, Department of Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities, Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar Resolution No: SAG/102018/1726/B Date:21/06/2019 , "Gujarat State Yoga Board" was formed.
Through the Gujarat State Yoga Board constituted by the Government of Gujarat, the activities of yoga are accelerated and yoga is spread to the masses throughout the state and an atmosphere of yoga is created among the people and the aim is to improve the mental health and physical health of the people through yoga.
The purpose of the Yoga Board is to encourage every citizen of the state to lead a healthy lifestyle and to create awareness among the people about yoga.
The Gujarat State Yoga Board is constantly working to bring yoga to the last human being. Through which the Gujarat State Yoga Board will appoint yoga coaches in all the districts of Gujarat, as well as train yoga coaches to make trained yoga coaches. And to prepare about 100 yoga trainers under each yoga coach. The work of starting yoga classes in their area under the yoga board is done by the said board.
Gujarat is the only state in India that is running a yoga awareness campaign. A large number of people from all over Gujarat are getting a great response. Now medical science has also accepted that yoga is not just a physical exercise but a complete medical science. Now yoga has made it possible to cure every disease, yoga is the means to achieve good health, success and complete happiness in life. So let us all join yoga and do yoga to build a healthy India.
